At CIL, we ask every regular attendee to Worship One, Serve One (once a month). With two services each week, you can easily pick one service to worship, and the other experience to serve. When everyone does their part to help, we have plenty of volunteers to accomplish the work, and no individual gets burned out.
Though Worship One, Serve One helps CIL, it really helps you. Consider this Scripture:
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. – 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
God has given you a gift to use in the church.
The way to grow in service is to serve.
The way to grow a skill is to practice.
The way to grow as a leader is to lead.
Eventually, if we don’t use it, we lose it.
Let’s serve, practice, and lead in Christ’s church!
This Sunday, we will give you an opportunity to sign up for the areas you are interested in for our Worship One, Serve One initiative. Be thinking and praying how you can get involved!
