01 Oct CIL supports “Young Life” in Hendersonville
Young Life is an organization reaching high school students who don’t attend church with the gospel message since 1941. Young Life has been in Hendersonville since 2013. The ministry started at Hendersonville High School and will expand to Merrol Hyde this semester!
Our church is a proud monthly supporter of this ministry. Young Life Hendersonville Area Director Daniel Becker and his wife Brittney attend CIL and participate in the Goin 242 Group.
I had the privilege last week of attending the Hendersonville Young Life banquet with some other families from the church. It was such a fun time, and my passion for teenagers was stoked anew. I was involved in Young Life when I was in high school 20 years ago in Texas, and this ministry impacted my friends and me greatly. If you are not out of town for Fall Break, please make an effort to be at church this Sunday as I will be sharing about my trip to India, and continuing our series in Mark 10. Plus, we have 242 Groups scheduled on Sunday evening! It’s going to be a great Sunday, so if you are leaving town, delay your departure for Monday! Ha!
