We have to accept these are not ordinary times, so we will continue to adjust along the way as individuals and a congregation.

  • We have suspended our Thursday service until more people attend in-person services again.
  • If all goes as hoped, Awana will start on Wednesday, August 26.
  • We are targeting Sunday, September 13, as the beginning of 242 Childcare and 242 Students.

Every day new information gives new considerations. Let’s be patient with the various responses to the global pandemic, giving people the space to experiment with their response, and grace when they change their opinion.

I Wish I Understood More About Scripture

I’ve said it.  I’m confident I’ll say it again in the future.  What I have discovered, though, is that we can each learn how to read scripture to understand it, to let it work in us to transform us.  You can begin right where you are today.  It doesn’t matter whether you’re a longtime believer or a brand new Christian; it doesn’t matter how much scripture you have or have not read.  In Veritas College Module 1, we’ll discover how the Bible came to be put together and then we’ll learn how to study it.

Module 1 starts on Thursday, August 13th.  We’ll meet via Zoom from 6pm – 8:30pm for twelve weeks.  Yes, it’s a commitment of time, but these 12 weeks will change you and give you skills you will use for the rest of your life.  I hope you’ll join us!

Mission Discovery organizes teams of student volunteers to build homes for families in need, love on orphans, feed the hungry, clothe and educate school children, provide medical care, and empower churches to bring hope to their communities.
The Mission Discovery Staff arranges food, lodging, and logistics so volunteers will be effective from day one. Each night the team offers a worship service to reflect on what the volunteers have experienced during the day.
