I’ll be speaking this week on 2 Corinthians 3:12-19 a message titled “Unveil my Heart.” Aubrey and his team will lead us into the presence of the Lord with singing. It will be great to see what God will do!
We love participating in the church calendar to deepen our love for Jesus. Lent starts next week on Ash Wednesday, so make sure to notice the opportunities at CIL that day to begin this special season.

On Wednesday, March 2, the global church will begin Lent in anticipation of the Easter season. What is Lent?
“Lent lasts for forty days, which are counted in an odd way. If you don’t include Sundays, Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. That’s because Sunday is always a feast day, a day to celebrate the Lord’s resurrection, and people don’t need to maintain their Lenten disciplines on Sundays. Lent ends at sunrise on Easter morning.”
To begin Lent, we will have an Ash Wednesday service on March 2 at Noon. “The ashes are a symbol that reminds us to repent by dying to our worldly desires and the transient nature of our lives.”
Please join us at CIL from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. There will be no childcare. You do not have to receive the ashes if you attend.
If you are unable to attend at Noon, the sanctuary will be open from 7am-7:50am for prayer, and the imposition of ashes if desired.
