08 Apr Holy Week is Almost Here
This Sunday, we will be installing Mauricio Barahona as the newest CIL pastor, as he joins our staff as the full-time Student Pastor. Mauricio is 31 years old, married to Renee, and they have two girls, ages 4 and 2. Mauricio has over ten years of youth ministry experience, and he desires to have a long career in student ministry. Mauricio and Renee currently live in Pennsylvania but are originally from Miami. Let’s welcome them to our family!

We are excited to have award-winning vocalist Angela Primm join Pastor Aubrey and the Worship Team for all three Easter services.

Holy Week at CIL
Maundy Thursday is a time of worship remembering Jesus’ last supper with his disciples. The word ‘maundy’ comes from the Latin ‘mandatum’ and refers to Christ’s words to them as he washed their feet, ““A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another”. The Eucharist, or Lord’s Supper, was instituted on that night and will be part of our time together.
The sanctuary will be open on Good Friday for prayer and will feature Stations of the Cross, a series of images depicting moments from Jesus’ journey to the cross. We invite you to slip in at some point during the day for a time of quiet reflection with these images from artist Scott Erickson.
