    We've got some great things coming at CIL! Here are a few important events to mark on your calendar!     Water Baptism (May 5) The next date for water baptism is Sunday, May 5, in both services.  This practice of the church is an outward expression of faith; a physical act that marks our identity with, and participation in, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you'd like to learn more, please sign-up here!  A member of the CIL staff will follow up with you.     - Camp Blast Children's Camp (May 31-June 2) Camp Blast at Horton Haven Christian Camp is a fantastic start to your child's summer! Designed especially for rising 3rd grade through rising 6th grade students, they'll have fun, develop friendships and, most importantly, experience God and His love.     - This is the most special week of the year for the Christian faith.   Easter is almost here!   This year we are adding a third Easter service to our resurrection celebration!   You can choose from either of these services, which will have the same worship music and preaching:   - Saturday, April 20 at 6pm * Childcare through age 4 for Saturday night. - Sunday, April 21 at 9am - Sunday, April 21 at 10:45am * Children services through 5th grade for Sunday morning services.     With the new Easter schedule, we are choosing to have a Maundy Thursday service at 6:30pmon April 18 instead of a Good Friday service. This Maundy Thursday service will have the same contemplative, soul-stirring reflection we are accustomed to preparing for Easter. I am very excited to experience this with you. 11 Apr Maundy Thursday Service

- As we move into Holy Week, those days between Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday, many of us read along in scripture, marking the days as events unfold and the tension rises.  We imagine Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the encounters during the week, the questioning and teaching, the jockeying for position, the whispers as the darkness gathers. Our Maundy Thursday service is a time of worship that marks the night Jesus gathered with his disciples one final time. We'll enter the upper room through the words of scripture, hearing His voice as He teaches us who He is and what it means to follow Him. To fully experience the light of the resurrection morning, we must first remember the darkness, uncertainty, and betrayal that preceded it.  Because we know the redemption that awaits, we remember and confess and surrender the old so that we may be made new.
