The CIL Internship Program exists to develop ministerial leaders within the church and their communities.
An intern at CIL will work one-on-one with a pastor or ministerial leader on staff and gain practical ministry experience while simultaneously being spiritually empowered to become a faithful servant of Christ and a mature believer of the gospel. The CIL internship program provides a safe place for young adults to explore their passions, learn new strengths, be discipled, and gain clarity on their God-given callings.
CIL Kids
- Assist the Children’s Pastor with the preparation and execution of Sunday morning services in CIL Kids.
- Participate in the Wednesday night Awana services and learn the various elements of leadership.
- Engage in relational connection with the kids and parents through outside events and service projects.
- Gain hands-on experience teaching, leading, and planning depending upon the participant’s skillset.
CIL Youth
- Teach a weekly Sunday middle school class and help coordinate our Wednesday night service.
- Learn vital service elements such as teaching, worship, pro-presenter, lighting, greeting, and small groups.
- Be a part of our student follow-up system and youth discipleship systems
- Understand our foundational core values and how to build a youth group from scratch or with existing students.
Creative Team
- Use your creative and technical skills to create social media content (Instagram and TikTok).
- Photograph Sunday services and any special events.
- Facilitate livestream and/or host Facebook live.
- Program and run lights for services.
- Brainstorm creative ways to engage the CIL community.
- Create graphics and visual aids.
Groups & Community Outreach
- Develop to be a leader who makes disciples of Jesus
- Regular theological equipping to cultivate Christian community and evangelism
- Learn the expectations of vocational service and pastoral ministry
- Establish a working understanding of groups ministry and leading a small group
- Advocating for ministry partners by attending community outreach opportunities
- Attending city-wide collaboratives

*Our goal at Christ is Love Church is to support you in your ministerial journey. Therefore, we will do everything we can to help meet college internship requirements. However, it is the intern’s responsibility to assure that this occurs.
