FrontLine Fall Retreat   FrontLine, the youth ministry at CIL, is getting away for a couple of days to worship, connect, and experience God on a deeper level.  All 6th -12th grade students are invited to be part of Zone Out!   Friday, Oct. 20 through Sunday, October 22 Whispering Pines Camp Castalian Springs We'll leave CIL at 5:00pm on Friday and return at noon on Sunday Have a football game Friday night? CIL Quick Hits   Here are some quick reminders and tidbits about CIL: 1. The Appalachia mission trip will be in eastern Kentucky this Thursday-Sunday.  Pray for them! 2. CIL will have its ten year anniversary in February 2018.  Thanks be to God! 3. This Sunday (Sep. 24) is the deadline to submit Leadership Board nominations for 2018-2019. 4. At CIL we acknowledge the church calendar as we participate in the liturgical stream of Christianity.  Currently, we are in Ordinary Time - the time between Pentecost and Advent.  Green is the color for Ordinary Time, which reminds us we are in a season to grow! 5. The people on the video announcements are actors, and don't attend CIL.  But they do a great job sounding like insiders! 6. We are going to participate in Operation Christmas Child this year!  Details coming in October. 7. A group of praying moms from Burrus Elementary School is meeting at CIL to pray. We love...

On this somber anniversary of the national tragedy of 2001, our country faces a different type of crisis.  Two devastating hurricanes have altered the lives of our fellow citizens.  We believe the most effective way to get help to our fellow citizens is for you to donate directly to a reputable organization who is on the ground helping victims.  I want to encourage you to do that!  If you feel more comfortable donating to the church, we will pass 100% of what you give to hurricane victims.
