Aloha Church, this is your favorite Student Pastor dropping in to give you some very important information on our Summer Youth trips. From June 3rd-7th we are partnering with an organization in Nashville called Mission 615.  We will be working with homeless and under privileged children in select neighborhoods in Nashville. I am really excited about this trip because it's going to challenge our students to get uncomfortable, while simultaneously spurring on growth in their relationship with GOD. Our next trip is our annual "Getaway" to Panama City Beach FL.  This trip is from June 25-29th, and is a "getaway" from the normal way of life for these teenagers.  It is a powerful experience that gives students the opportunity to draw close to GOD and experience HIS presence. I am excited about these trips, and I would LOVE for your student to attend at least one of these trips this summer. I need a...

We are having water baptisms April 26th, in both the 9:00 and 10:45 a.m. services. When Jesus chose to be baptized in water, He stated that it was necessary to "fulfill all righteousness (Mt. 3:15)."  This doesn't mean water baptism saves us, but if we refuse to be baptized in water there is something incomplete in our walk with Christ. Water baptism is an act that God requires of every believer. You never read of an un-baptized Christian anywhere in the Bible. A wedding ring is an outward sign that a person is married.A military uniform is an outward sign that a person serves in a specific branch of the armed forces.Similarly, water baptism is a symbol designed by God to identify a person as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, it all goes back to Jesus' statement in John 14:15. Now that Easter Sunday is over, here are some important things to remember for the rest of April. The Women's Retreat is this weekend. Pastor Deborah has been sending out the details though email and Facebook, but in case you missed it, you can find out the details  here. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due this Sunday (April 12) for the Appalachian Mission Trip.  The cost is only $160, but we need your payment now to begin preparation.  You can bring a check Sunday, or pay on-line here.
