Back to School Family Prayer Meeting

When we encounter a national tragedy almost everyone – politicians, news anchors, athletes, artists – calls our nation to prayer.  Yet it is rare for people to have the mental and spiritual discipline to pray consistently regardless of circumstances.

            We have another opportunity to cultivate the habit of prayer with our Back-to-School Family Prayer Meeting this Sunday.  Aubrey McGowan will lead us in worship, and I’ll lead the prayer time. The worship will start at 5:30pm, but you can come at any time.  I anticipate we will be finished around 7pm.  We’ll have childcare through age 4.

            We are inviting students, teachers, administrators, and school staff to join us, and would love for your family to be here, too. We’re not providing food this time, but encourage you to go out with your friends afterwards for fellowship.

            Let’s prepare our students and teachers spiritually for a great school year by asking for the power, favor and blessing of God upon our community.
