I was hoping by now to announce the date we would start in-person meetings at CIL. However, If I understood Governor Bill Lee’s press conference correctly on Tuesday, even though the “stay at home order” expires on April 30, he is requesting that groups over ten not meet in-person past that date until further notice. I am monitoring this situation in Sumner County and Tennessee daily. If we can make adjustments at any point to start meeting in cooperation with the Governor, the Elders will be open to that position.
I hope you continue to make Sunday morning a priority for weekly worship. Transformed Christians have healthy spiritual habits. We are intentionally launching our online services at 9 am, and 10:45 am so you can keep in your weekly rhythm. Still, it can be challenging to worship through at monitor, especially with children. With that in mind, we will continue to try to keep our online services fresh and efficient. Last week’s service was about 45 minutes total, which seems like the most effective time length for an online-only experience.
This Sunday, Abbey Allison and Jacob Sprouls will join Pastor Aubrey for our worship music. I will be giving a devotional from Ezekiel 3:12-17 titled, While You Were Sitting. This message speaks to our present situation, so get ready to receive encouragement from Scripture.
Also, we will be taking communion together during the service, so make sure you gather the elements – any bread and wine/grape juice. Indeed, whatever you can access will be fine.
You will be able to access our online services at the following platforms:
I love you guys and wish we were physically together. Yet, our hearts are one through Christ.
With love and appreciation,
Giving to CIL
