You may have heard, County Executive Anthony Holt has mandated face masks to be worn publicly in Sumner County. As stated in Exemption iX, face masks are not required in a house of worship, “unless required by that house of worship, but wearing a face covering in such locations is strongly encouraged.”
As we evaluate the factors around COVID-19, please be vigilant in interactive social practices. We will continue to have in-person services, but we hope to see more masks at CIL this week. While we do not require masks, we both recommend this and make them available in the lobby. We encourage everyone to seriously evaluate the risks to you and your loved ones when choosing to attend an in-person service at CIL. Please make your best decision based on your understanding of COVID-19, your health, and the health of people with whom you are in contact.
