This Sunday at CIL

This Sunday at CIL

Hey guys!

For those of you in Sumner County, we made it to Fall Break!  Remember how much mystery there seemed to be weeks ago when we projected to this break?   We made it, and though things are not perfect, most of us are in pretty good shape.  We remember those in prayer and practice who are suffering physically and financially.  For those of us in a better situation, thank God for where you find yourself today.

Pastor Josh Sakis will be preaching this Sunday, and Pastor Aubrey McGowan will be leading us in worship.  I am so impressed with both of these men, so I could not imagine a better pair to minister to our spiritual family.   It will be a Family Sunday, so the kids will be with us for the October 4 service.  Also, there is no Awana or CIL Students this Wednesday.  However, children’s ministry and 242 Groups will be happening on October 11 to finish our area’s Fall Break with a full day of connection!

If you are traveling this weekend, make the Sunday morning time slot a priority to participate with CIL online.  When possible, I think this is a good discipline for us to engage with our local church, even when we cannot physically.  If you use Facebook to participate at CIL, we would love you to comment and let us know where you are joining the online service.  These comments are kind of fun, but it also makes us more of a spiritual family.

I am so thankful for the church!   We need each other!
