21 Jan Focus on Jesus
Hey everyone,
It was so strange not meeting in person last week! The online service was nice, but not the same. This Sunday, I will be teaching the Making of a Miracle from John 2:1-11. We will continue our Epiphany journey focusing on Jesus and how His miracle at a wedding speaks to us today. Aubrey and his team will have Spirit-filled worship music prepared for us.

This gathering gives space to explore how to walk alongside others in Christian community at CIL Church.

Veritas is the place to learn how to take a deeper dive into scripture. If you’ve made a commitment to bible reading this year, we’d love to help you develop some practical skills to read and more deeply understand the text. Veritas 1 focuses on Paul’s letters; Veritas 2 moves to the Old Testament to study the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible) and a bit of OT history. These classes are interactive, with lots of discussion.
CIL has partnered with Veritas to be able to offer these classes at a discounted rate of $40 per class. There are scholarship funds available, as well. Registration is open on the Church Center app or at cil.churchcenter.com. If you’re an absolute newbie to the Bible, this is for you. If you’ve been in the Word for years, this is for you, too! Pastor Jen and her late husband of 43 years, Pastor Rick Pasquale, began leading the International Christian Fellowship of Rome church in 2014. They served with the Assemblies of God US and Assemblies of God World Missions for many years. After a sudden and unexpected brief illness in the summer of 2021, Pastor Rick went to be with Jesus. Still feeling called to Rome and to the nations since the age of 14, Pastor Jen felt it was God’s Divine plan to return to Rome and continue leading the ministries. In 2021, she was officially re-installed as the Lead Pastor and became a CIL missionary partner.
