National Day of Prayer on May 5

National Day of Prayer on May 5

Good morning!

I have a cool development to tell you about! After a few years off, Hendersonville’s National Day of Prayer breakfast will return this Thursday. The National Day of Prayer is an important recognition by our federal government. By law, the United State Congress has called on the President to issue each year a proclamation designating the first Thursday in May as a “National Day of Prayer.” Check out the details below and join me this Thursday morning at First Baptist Hendersonville. It will be great for Christians in Sumner County to come together for prayer.

This Sunday, we continue our Eastertide season by celebrating Jesus. I will teach about Paul’s encounter with the risen Jesus on the road to Damascus, found in Acts chapter 9. Through Paul’s story, I want you to see Jesus more clearly in your story. Aubrey and his team will be leading us in worship, and it will be an incredible day together.

He is risen!

National Day of Prayer Breakfast

Join us for a free breakfast and powerful time of prayer and worship as we mark the National Day of Prayer together on May 5. The breakfast begins at 7:30am at First Baptist Hendersonville.

This year’s theme is “Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us” from Colossians 2:6-7. Pastors and area ministry leaders will lead us through a time of prayer around eight spiritual emphases.

This city-wide free event is being sponsored by several area businesses, individuals and our local Christian colleges: Welch College and Union University.
