I hope you guys are enjoying Fall Break in Sumner County.  A quick reminder that there is no Awana, ExitSeven youth or any other mid-week activities at CIL this week.My family missed being in church last week, but I know Sunday’s service was outstanding. I am so grateful for the talent, heart, and leadership of Aubrey, Jen, Greg, Deborah and Chip. In addition, Deanna Powell staffed an incredible nursery on Sunday like she does every week.  What a team!This Sunday, children’s ministry will be back in full operation, and I will be preaching in both services.  My message is titled, Choosing A Life of Joy.  As we look at one of my favorite passages in Philippians 4:4-8, I know God is going to speak to each person.  This is a great week to invite someone to CIL. Calling all married, engaged, and dating couples! On Saturday, October 29th, CIL will host a marriage seminar called "The Care and Feeding of Your Marriage" featuring Brent and Janis Sharpe.  The Sharpes are both pastors, as well as licensed marriage and family therapists in private practice, and will give us some practical ways to enrich our relationships.The cost is $25 per couple, with scholarships available.The Care and Feeding of Your Marriage is Saturday, October 29th from 9am-12pm.  You can register and pay at cil.churchcenteronline.com.  Please indicate on your registration if you will need childcare so that we can plan accurately.Also, remember that this Sunday is the last opportunity to nominate Leadership Board members for the 2017-2018 terms. The Leadership Board is the legal board of the organization and oversees the budget and property. Nominations can be submitted at the Communication Center....

Hey everyone!I am so excited about what is happening at the church right now.  We are growing every week, but there is plenty of room for everyone!  Would you help spread the word about CIL through social media, casual conversation, and personal invitation?  Your enthusiasm for what God is doing atCIL is the greatest influence for us to reach more people for Christ. The toiletries drive for the Appalachia Mission trip at Chick-fil-a is going great! The campaign ends on Saturday, September 17.  Make sure to drop by your toothbrush/paste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, brush/comb and tie backs before the end of business at Chick-fil-a on Saturday night. Pray for our team that will minister in Lynch, Kentucky, September 22-25.Speaking of missions, a couple of weeks ago we were able to give $6,206 to Phil Zarn's ministry in Sweden.
