In January, CIL focused on the activity of the Holy Spirit in our community. Our Holy Spirit seminars led us to be filled anew, with some people experiencing His presence for the first time. At our Next Gen Leaders Retreat, the power of the Holy Spirit filled us again with love, power, and peace. We have felt this overflow in the congregation through anointed services on Sunday mornings. This emphasis will continue. We always need the Holy Spirit. In February we will have an opportunity to explore the sacramental stream of our faith. As a Three Streams church, we want to receive all God has for us through the liturgical, evangelical, and charismatic traditions.   On Tuesday, February 19, Pastor Dan Scott will be coming to CIL to teach a Liturgical Seminar in anticipation of Lent. For those interested in this sacramental perspective, you will receive incredible teaching from one of the forerunners of the Three...

____ At CIL, we ask every regular attendee to Worship One, Serve One (once a month). With two services each week, you can easily pick one service to worship, and the other experience to serve. When everyone does their part to help, we have plenty of volunteers to accomplish the work, and no individual gets burned out. - Though Worship One, Serve One helps CIL, it really helps you.   Consider this Scripture: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms. - 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) - God has given you a gift to use in the church. The way to grow in service is to serve. The way to grow a skill is to practice. The way to grow as a leader is to lead. Eventually, if we don't use it, we lose it. Let's serve, practice, and lead in Christ's church! - This Sunday, we will give you an...
