The last time a total solar eclipse was visible in middle Tennessee was 1478. That makes next Monday's event a pretty big deal. Since we have a big lawn, we decided an eclipse viewing picnic was the best way to celebrate! Bring your lunch and a chair or blanket and join us on the lawn as we watch the moon travel over the face of the sun. We'll have some disposable solar eclipse viewing glasses available on a first come basis. If you have some, please bring your own to be sure you have eye protection....
