CIL Student Parents - Many of you are aware the spread of COVID 19 has increased locally. In response to this, Sumner County Schools has decided to return our students to a hybrid schedule. We believe it is important to support our local schools and families in their efforts to minimize the spread of this virus. We want our students to return to a traditional schedule as quickly as possible, which can only be done by taking steps to reduce the spread. That being said, we will not be meeting Wednesday, November 18th, for our youth service. Additionally, we do not have youth service November 25th because it is Thanksgiving week. We will resume service on December 2nd while reevaluating along with the school board. We will miss gathering for these next couple of weeks, but we are acting toward, and praying for, the safety of our students and their families. With respect and...

It has been an emotional week in our country with such a close election.  Despite our differences, we have a great nation. This Sunday, we will honor all veterans for their service to our country.  I want all who served to be recognized when your branch is called.  Whether you stand, raise your hand, or comment on Facebook Live, we want to identify you.  There is no need to notify us of your participation ahead of time, just show up in person or join us online, and the recognition will happen in the middle of the service. Please consider a donation to the Thanksgiving Blessing.  Your generosity keeps our outreach ministries happening! With love and appreciation,       CIL’s annual Thanksgiving Blessing is less than a month away! On Saturday, November 21, we plan to provide fresh turkeys and all the ingredients for local families who need a boost. Your gift of $25 will completely fund Thanksgiving dinner for someone...

Hello! This Sunday is All Saints Sunday.  Before or after service, you will have a chance to remember someone deceased who inspires you to follow Jesus by including their name on a temporary memorial. All Saints Day is a Christian celebration in honor of all the saints from Christian history.  The Bible doesn't teach us to pray to the saints (Matt. 6:6), through the saints (1 Tim. 2:5) or for saints who have already gone to heaven. Instead, we remember the saints and to allow the memory of their faith spur us on to deeper worship and greater service to the Lord. I will be preaching this week from Galatians 1:13-2:2.   Aubrey has some great music planned to connect us to His presence.   Participating in church is such a gift! Make sure to make your donation to the Thanksgiving Blessing.  Your generosity keeps our outreach ministries happening! With love and appreciation,       CIL's annual Thanksgiving Blessing is less than a month...
