At CIL we believe kingdom partnership is a primary way God advances His kingdom on earth.  Instead of starting a ministry when we identify a need, we often partner financially and spiritually with ministries that are already filling that need in our community. Here are some of our kingdom partnerships:Hendersonville Samaritan Center provides emergency assistance to residents of Hendersonville.  The profits from their thrift store on Dunn St. (the old library) go directly to help residents of our city. It's a great place to donate clothes and other items.Hendersonville Young Life targets non-Christian high school students who may not ever attend a church service. The ministry is currently focusing on Hendersonville High School and Merrol Hyde Middle School.  Director Daniel Becker and his family attend CIL.  The Young Life annual fundraising banquet is Monday, September 21, and is a great way to learn more about this outreach ministry.Salvus Center provides medical...

There are a few important happenings that you need to be aware of:  Christian Growth Class beginsTonight (September 2) I am starting my Wednesday Christian Growth class that corresponds with the Awana schedule.  The class starts at 6:30pm, which gives those with kids plenty of time to check their kids in for Awana's 6:00pm start, and grab a cup of coffee in the lobby before our class starts in the Living Room. This staggered schedule also allows volunteers to be "listeners" for Awana from 6:00-6:30pm, and still participate in my class.Marriage Enrichment & Financial Peace start later in SeptemberPastor Deborah Jackson leads a four-week Marriage Enrichment class that will take place September 16, 23, 30, and October 7.  Space is limited, so register at cil.churchcenteronline.com.Pastor Daniel Robertson will lead Financial Peace starting on September 23, and running for nine sessions.  The class will skip Fall Break and Thanksgiving week to end on December...
