Young Life is an organization reaching high school students who don't attend church with the gospel message since 1941. Young Life has been in Hendersonville since 2013. The ministry started at Hendersonville High School and will expand to Merrol Hyde this semester! Our church is a proud monthly supporter of this ministry. Young Life Hendersonville Area Director Daniel Becker and his wife Brittney attend CIL and participate in the Goin 242 Group. I had the privilege last week of attending the Hendersonville Young Life banquet with some other families from the church. It was such a fun time, and my passion for teenagers was stoked anew. I was involved in Young Life when I was in high school 20 years ago in Texas, and this ministry impacted my friends and me greatly. Be praying for me, as today I leave for India. In an unexpected opportunity, I am going to           preach this weekend in Chennai, India, at a very influential church. The father of CIL attender Ramya Mannar is bringing me to minister at the church he attends, and to experience the  Indian culture. It's going to be the trip of a lifetime. What a gift! We have an incredible service planned this Sunday at CIL. Aubrey and Jennifer McGowan are  new  to our congregation, but they have been part of our extended family a long time. The McGowans have been worship leaders for ten years at my home church in Texas, which is one of the fastest growing churches in America. They have moved to Hendersonville to be close to family, which attend CIL. They will be leading worship this Sunday while Beth travels with the Appalachian...

  Greetings to the citizens of CIL, This is Pastor Matthew Perry Henry Malone the 1st, and I am writing to inform you that we are having a Fall Retreat for our Youth on October 24-26th, at Whispering Pines, in Castalian Springs, TN. As you are well aware, our students face intense pressure on a consistent basis to conform to the pattern of this world, which is influenced by Satan himself. Every believer in Christ, including myself, needs an opportunity to get away and experience the presence of the LORD. For these students, having an opportunity to experience GOD together is amazing. I am excited about this year's retreat, and I want as many students who can participate to come. The theme is "Hold On."
