Alpha Begins on Monday, July 23, 2018 We start this Monday! The food is ordered, so dinner will be waiting for your friends at 6:30pm.     Since you have been through Alpha before, we need you to bring a friend!  All are welcome, but we especially want people to come who far from God.    If you plan to participate in Alpha during this course, can you email us back? Pastor Matt Malone announced to the student ministry on Wednesday night that he will be leaving CIL in 2018 to join FCA staff in Sumner County.   For 5.5 years, Matt has worked with students and families of CIL, touching so many of us with his passion for God and love for people. While we are sad to see this era of our youth ministry end, we are excited to partner with Matt as a missionary to the teenagers of Sumner County. Though Matt has gone through a vigorous screening process to be accepted on FCA staff, he will have to raise support in order to go on staff full-time. On Sunday, August 5, we will have Matt cast vision for what God has called him to accomplish in our community so individuals can get behind him by making monthly pledges. We are so proud of our Costa Rica mission team!   We have 14 individuals who leave Saturday morning to go to the community of Carpio, where thousands of Nicaraguan refugees have created a makeshift city. There are gospel-centered churches within Carpio that we partner with to create an annual VBS, and other important ministries. This Sunday (July 1) is Family Sunday, and we will enjoy the ministry of Pastor Aubrey McGowan his wife Jen. They will be leading us in worship and preaching, so it will be a wonderful Sunday for the entire family. Childcare though age 4 is provided, but the rest of the kids will be in the sanctuary.
