        I am happy to announce that Josh Sakis will be joining the CIL staff in September as our new student pastor.  Josh and his wife Booke have been in vocational ministry for the last three years in Florida, and are excited to bring their newborn son Krew to Tennessee. Josh is a pastor's son who is passionate about the local church.  The Sakis' are both alumni of Southeastern University (Florida), where Josh earned a B.S. in Church Ministries. In 2008 there were 2 congregations of believers in Sumner County trusting God to provide direction for their futures. He brought the leaders together, and the subsequent meetings made clear that these like-minded, committed groups would be stronger together. Individuals in both groups made sacrifices and worked hard to make the merge successful, believing that God would work through this new church to touch our community. We decided together that we would exist to 'Know His Love, Share His Love.' We're celebrating 10 years as CIL on Sunday, August 12th!  We'll welcome some special guests who played important roles in our history: Dr. Charles Gaulden, Pastor David Huff, and worship leader Jonathan Lee. The Back to School Blessing is Saturday, August 4th. For the 11th year in a row, we have the opportunity to supply elementary, middle school, and high school students with backpacks filled with the school supplies they need to begin the school year. We hope to help over 200 families who would have a difficult time providing these resources for their children. Your gift of $25 will sponsor a full backpack, sending a child to school with the resources they need. You can give to the Back of School Blessing online or bring your donation to church on Sunday.
