CIL will be taking an Appalachian Family Mission Trip to eastern Kentucky in 2016. This Thursday-Sunday trip will take place September 22-25th in Harlan County, Kentucky. Is Easter over? No. We celebrate the Resurrection every Sunday and every day! Additionally the church calendar, followed by many Christian traditions, celebrates fifty days of Easter: Resurrection Sunday through Pentecost Sunday.As we continue the resurrection celebration, I’ll be preaching a message this Sunday from John 20:19-31 called When Jesus Shows Up. This story about Jesus after the resurrection will help us discover more about our relationship with Him today. This is one of my favorite gatherings of the year, as we focus on Jesus through music and communion.
