 This Sunday is Father’s Day, and we will continue part five of the series called Jesus-Style.  I am going to teach on Jesus’ relationship with the Father.  This theme will have a robust spiritual tone, so do not worry about some of the emotional traps that can happen during a Father’s Day service.   We will not verbally beat up current Dads or make those of you with a problematic Dad relationship feel worse.  Instead, all of us will look at the Father’s relationship with Jesus, and we will receive that same blessing from that same opportunity.  God is the Father we all want.Our middle school campers are traveling back from camp today. I feel so refreshed after some time away with Beth, then a subsequent trip to visit one of my pastors. I am so grateful for an amazing staff and volunteer team that makes CIL happen!  Service was great last week, and we will continue the spiritual momentum when we gather again.This Sunday I will start a new series called Jesus-Style.   We are going to look at stories and principals from the ministry of Jesus and prepare to do the same!   We obviously do not compare to the holiness and perfection of Jesus, but He has chosen us to extend His work to our generation.  Let’s learn more about His ministry and recognize how we continue this work in 2021.Also, this week is Pentecost Sunday.
